Professor Jeanne-Marie Jackson from Johns Hopkins University conducts distinctive comparative research spanning Russia and Southern Africa. She is the author of South African Literature’s Russian Soul: Narrative Forms of Global Isolation, recently published by Bloomsbury. Attached is the first chapter of her book, which she will discuss before presenting some of her exciting new work on post-democracy literatures.
